Following in his father’s footsteps, this second generation driver is quickly making a name for himself. Tim began his racing career in 1996 racing Quarter Midgets, where he won over 100 races in his first four years.

In 2001, Tim began climbing up the ranks and begun racing stock cars and winning titles. Since then, many championships have been won and accomplishments conquered. He ran Late Models, the ASA National Tour in 2003 – 2004 seasons and made his debut in the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series in 2006 and stepped into a Super Late Model for the first time.

2006 was a busy year for Tim Russell; with 3 ARCA RE/Max Series races under his belt at Daytona, Kansas City & Chicagoland. A great first full year of Super Late Model racing; the year was filled with numerous accomplishments in the Super Late Model ranks. Tim finished fifth in points in the Sunbelt Series in only his first year driving the Super Late Models and he also claimed the Rookie of the Year title for the series. Tim was able to achieve those accomplishments without even
running the whole season. He was unable to make it to four of the races due to his ARCA schedule and prior sponsor commitments. The Russell & his crew were satisfied with their first full year of Super Late Model racing, including the big win at the Clyde Hart Memorial race.

2007 got off to a great start; with a brand new, 8500 square foot race shop facility, housing Southeastern Super Late Model racing equipment, along with new cars and a new 2007 Renegade transporter. Tim ran the Daytona & Lakeland ARCA Races as part of the Hagans Racing Driver Developmental Program and a full season of Super Late Model racing. The complete Sunbelt Series and Brighthouse Challenge Series race schedules were ran along with selected Special Events throughout the year. Tim finished 2007 with 4 Championship Titles including the Sunbelt Series Champion, Brighthouse Challenge Series Champion, Florida State Champion and the Triple Crown Champion. His stats for the year were outstanding, with 28 starts, 3 wins, 6 poles, 20 top gives and 25 top tens.

In 2008, Russell continued his dominance of the Florida Super Late Model world by winning five races and 11 pole positions.  He also wrapped up his second consecutive Sunbelt Super Late Model Series Championship and his second straight Bright House Challenge Series title as well.  The championships added to his total, making five Super Late Model titles in a two year span.

Russell's winning ways in 2009 started just three days into the New Year, when he won the first round of the Triple Crown Series at New Smyrna Speedway.  His season ended in late November, when he won the final round of the Triple Crown Series.  In between those two races, came another four Super Late Model victories.

2010 was an even better year for Russell, as he captured a total of nine victories and two championships - the Triple Crown title at New Smyrna and the Hoosier Elite championship.

It was year of near perfection as Tim Russell capture the SpeedWeeks Super Late Model Title, the Pete Orr Memorial 100 and the Florida United Promoters Series Championship in 2011.  In all he took down eight wins and finished in the top 10 in all but two events. He also had 20 Top five runs as well.
