Tim Russell Hits the Ground Running in First Brighthouse Challenge Series Race of the Season
Patience and Raw Talent Lead to Fourth-Place Finish
Tim Russell started out the Brighthouse Challenge Series at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) on a high note this past weekend. Russell overcame some problems with his car and still managed to bring home an impressive fourth-place finish.  With Russell being a top contender for the series championship, his top-five finish got him off to a great start to the season.

“We’re happy with where we finished, but we wanted to be a little better,” said Russell.  “We were just a little too loose getting into the corners.  We will try some different stuff next time when we go back and hopefully we will do a lot better.  I’m proud of the guys working hard all week; we just missed it by a little bit and we will get it better for next time.”

Even though Russell would like to snag the series championship for the third straight year, he knows he has to take the season one race at a time.

“You really can’t worry about the championship,” said Russell.  "You’ve just got to go out there and do the best you can every race, try to win as much as you can and the rest will take care of itself.”

Tim Russell will be back in action in the second Brighthouse Challenge Series event of the season on April 11th at New Smyrna Speedway (FL).
