Tim Russell had a few weeks off but this week it's back to racing action for him and his Rinnai Team. And they will be returning one of his favorite tracks, USA International Speedway located in Lakeland, Florida. The last time that he was on the track he was able to bring home the win in the ASA Southeast Asphalt Series event.
“I am really looking forward to racing at Lakeland this weekend,” said Russell. “We had a really good run there last time with the ASA SAT race. I feel like we have a really good car heading there this weekend so I am just looking forward to the opportunity to bring home another win for Rinnai.”
This race also has special meaning for him. It is a SUNBELT Series race, and it is the first leg of the prestigious Florida Triple Crown. As the defending Triple Crown Champion, Russell hopes that he can start this year's quest off with a win this weekend at Lakeland.
“This is the first leg of the Triple Crown. We would like to repeat that this year, and this time around see if we can win all three of them. We have been getting everything ready for the summer run and I think we are ready to bring home some more wins.”
