When one has had a season that has been as busy and impressive as Tim Russell’s, it’s hard to imagine having taken a break. But that is just what he did, for the past two weeks Russell has been relaxing and getting himself in gear for his next challenge; The Sunbelt Series event at Bronson Motor Speedway.
“It has been about two weeks since we have been racing,” joked Russell. “I am having race withdrawals. I didn’t know what to do with myself; so we have just been getting the cars ready to go”.
This will be Russell’s first time in competition at Bronson Motor Speedway. He has been to the track before in testing and qualifying, but the feature event in previous years was rained out.
“I am really excited to head to Bronson. I have never actually raced there. We have practiced in the Goodyear Late Models and we were fastest in the practice when we were there but then unfortunately the race rained out.
“We went and tested last week there, and we had a really good test. I am really excited about the race. Mike Cope has a really nice facility there so hopefully we can go and put on a real good show for everybody.”
The racing action will get underway this Saturday April 14th at Bronson Motor Speedway with the green flag waving at 7:30pm.
