Tim Slides Home With An Eighth Place Finish
Slick Track Couldn't Stop Russell
The track was slick all night long but Tim Russell still managed to stay out of major trouble to bring home an eighth place finish as the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series took on Orlando Speedworld (FL) this weekend.

The field assembled at the track was a tight one.

“We qualified seventh and we were only maybe a 1/100th off of fourth, it was a really tight field,” said Russell.  “I was running third and moving up.  I was trying to pass and the door got closed on us and I had to slam on my brakes and got spun around.  I ended up working my way back up to fourth.

“The track was really slick because someone had lost a rear end cover so everyone was slipping and sliding around.  I got in a little too hot and three and spun out again and had to go to the rear again and we ended up finishing eighth, which wasn’t too bad considering everything.”
