Another Top Ten For Tim Russell at Columbia Motorsports Park
Solid Finishes Keep Adding Up For Russell
Tim Russell just keeps adding to his list of solid finishes.  He was able to add another one this past weekend as the Sunbelt Super Series raced at Columbia Motorsports Park on Saturday night and Tim brought home the car just outside of the top-five with a sixth place finish.

“It was a pretty good weekend for us,” said 23-year-old Russell.  “We qualified second and Wayne Anderson got the pole, and we were only two-hundredths off of him so we were really right there with him.  They inverted the top seven, so we ended up starting sixth but we had the fastest car all day in practice, it was awesome.”

Russell was able to hang around the top-ten all day long, and at one point in the race was running in the top-five.  He attempted to make his move to get up front with the leader, but ended up slipping back a few spots to finish in the sixth position.

“It wasn’t the finishing spot that we were looking for but we had a pretty good race and we are really turning things around with our team.  We are going to have a really strong car the next couple of super late model races that we run and hopefully we can bring home that next win soon.”
