Tim Russell Brings Home Top Ten First Time Out
Ocala Speedway Couldn't Stop Russell
Tim Russell’s results thus far this season have been pretty impressive.  He was able to add to that growing list on Friday night as he brought home a top-ten finish at his first time ever running at the infamous Ocala Speedway.

Russell competed in the Powell Memorial 125 at the Florida track and he adapted to his new surroundings quickly.
“We were able to finish seventh this weekend,” said Russell.  “It was really good for my first time being there.  There are a lot of people who race Super Late Models in Florida who won’t even go to that track because of how many cars get torn up.  It’s just a really tough track.  It’s hard to master but I think I gained a lot of laps around there and a lot of experience in a short time and when we go back next time we should be able to do even better.”

Russell did not race on Saturday night, instead choosing to prepare for this upcoming weekend’s Sunbelt Series Super Late Model race which will be held Saturday at North Florida Speedway.

“This weekend we are going to Columbia Motorsports Park for the Sunbelt 125 at Lake City,” added Russell.  “Last time we raced there we won so hopefully we will have that luck again.   I have never been there in a Super Late Model but it should be pretty close to what I had last year and I think we should have a good outcome. “
